Somehow I don't know, How you have the nerve to say, How you have the nerve to complain, I just don't know I don't think that you will ever change, You are just stuck here in this rut, Somehow I am to blame, Everybody else has better luck, But if you think I'm gonna just take these lines, Unchallenged, and on time, I'ts always someone else's fault, When you don't get what you want, Well how about you just change your mind? There's nowhere to go, No weather that's good, I'm stuck in a room, i have no food, And I have no sight, Out of my plight, There's always someone else to blame, (solo) I don't think that you will ever change, You are just stuck here in this rut, Somehow I am to blame, Everybody else has better luck, But if you think I'm gonna just take these lines, Unchallenged, and on time, I'ts always someone else's fault, When you don't get what you want, Well how about you just change your mind? I don't think that you are, Changing in anyway, You confuse your self, By changing your shape, I can see you're in a rut, Somehow it's all my fault, Everybody else has better luck...

Black Rain 04:35
I live in this box, It's my only way, I keep thoughts i can't tame here, I spill out in waves, Playing tricks in the mirror, Draw the light back a little further, Pretty birds on the wires stare into the night, I stay in this room, It's my hideaway, These four walls can't contain me, I spill out in waves, Playing tricks in the mirror, Draw the light back a little further, Pretty birds on the wires stare into the night, And the trees by the river, and feeling that could go on forever The waves growing stronger, deep into the night Will I lose my selfish ways? Or will I lose myself again? Will I lose my selfish ways? Or will I lose myself again? And I feel black rain falling, feel black rain fall down on me Now all that grows is this weeping willow, weeping And I feel black rain fall down on me

Kopenhagen 02:26
Oh, Come here and shake me somethings amiss, Come here and shake me I'm feeling amiss, the crawl home is calling, but that's just a spider a reason for living a reason for dying, Look at that T-shirt! It's perfect you say, There's nothing I'd change about it, or today, Oh hold my hand lightly for you fear the heat, Come here and shake me 'cos I'm incomplete In Kopenhagen everything's for sure, In Kopenhagen everybody knows, In Kopenhagen everything is just so, so I don't want to know, About cups and colours, canvas, feeling like I don't have anything to show, There's no reason for anything you will discover, As you make your way through the garden of never, Oh what am I saying? what do I mean? There's no reason for anything, Are you receiving? In Kopenhagen everything's for sure, In Kopenhagen everybody knows, In Kopenhagen everything is just so, so, so Let me out and let me in again, Oh Kopenhagen you're my only friend, In Kopenhagen everything's for sure, IN Kopenhagen everything isjust so, Come here and shake me, Somethings amiss, Somethings amiss, Oh, Oh, somethings amiss, Somethings amiss, SOMETHINGS AMISS SOMETHINGS AMISS SOMETHINGS AMISS SOMETHINGS AMISS SOMETHINGS AMISS SOMETHINGS AMISS

The Visitor 05:21
Isn't it strange no-one will say, When you look the wrong way, Isn't it strange no-one will ask Isn't it strange no-one will say when you're stuck the wrong way, No-one will stay and nothing can last Make it all into something that you're used to, Make it all into something that you've seen, Break it all into little prices, Make it all into something that you've seen, Something that you've seen I'm just a visitor in your world, I'm just a visitor in your world, Nothing can change and no-one will ask, When you're stuck in your past, Everyone stops and turns away, Isn't it strange no-one will ask, When you're going too fast, You get attached they turn away Make it all into something that you're used to, Make it all into something that you've seen, Break it all into little pieces Make it all into something that you've seen, Make it all into something that you're used to, Make it all into something that you've seen, Break it all into little pieces, Break it all into... I'm just a visitor in your world, I'm just a visitor in your world In your world, In your world In your world

about

The Cosmic Something is the first solo project by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Jemma Freeman. Known previously for their song writing and guitar work with dreamy psych band Landshapes (Bella Union) and new wave art band The Fucks, Jemma has taken these two approaches and tinged them with energetic glam rock.
Powerful, lush guitar tones and introspective psychedelic lyrics bound together with unbounded energy and urgency. Pulling together themes of secret worlds, hidden agendas, apathy and anxiety, Jemma’s sonorous voice tells the story of unravelling completely and tying yourself back up again.
Their first EP ‘Someone Else To Blame’, released on DIY label Friction Shifter in 2017 has been described by John Kennedy (Radio X) as “…discovering gold beneath the mountain…” and “Storming!” by BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson. Live the band consists of Transglobal Underground’s Hamilton Lee on Drums, Krupa on synth and backing vocals and producer Mark Estall on Bass. Whilst comparisons have been drawn with Throwing Muses, Captain Beefheart and PJ Harvey, Jemma maintains their own unique strength and delivers powerful performances.
New tracks are due for release mid 2018 with an album planned for 2019.
